Eldred-Joseph Allen "Joe" Green, 54 of Prentisvale Rd., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (March 28th, 2021) at the Erie County Medical Center.

Born May 19th, 1966 in Bradford he was a son of Lewis C. and Sandra Kay Crandell Green.  On September 6th, 2021 in Eldred he married Julie Silsby, who survives.

Joe was a 1986 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and was a lifelong resident of Eldred.

Mr. Green served in the US Army prior to going to work for Taylor and Armstrong Construction Co. in Eldred where he held many positions in his more than twenty years of employment.

Joe was a lifetime member of the Eldred Township Fire Department, as well as being a member of the American Legion Post #887 of Eldred and the VFW Post #2092 Myron Burns Post of Eldred, and the Eldred Conservation Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and kayaking, as well as riding motorcycles and ATVs.  He had enjoyed playing pool and participated in several local leagues.  He loved socializing and spending time with his family and friends.

Joe had a big heart and would do anything for anyone.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his father of Eldred and his mother-in-law, Patricia Silsby of Rixford; four step-children, LeAnn McAndrew of Duke Center, George (Cassie) McAndrew, Gary McAndrew and Chris McAndrew, all of Ashland, Ohio; Two sisters, Carrie (Sam) Babcock of Port Allegany and Laura (Mike Warnick) Crowe of Prentisvale; and one brother, Steven Green of Eldred.  Joe was beloved and will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and aunts and auncles.

In addition to his mother who passed away in 2019, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Rich Crowe in 2016.

Friends may call at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred on Saturday (April 3rd, 2021) from 11:00am to 1:00pm and 3:00pm to 5:00pm, at which time a celebration of Joe's life will be held with Rev. Rick Price officiating.

R.I.P my dear cousin....I am going to miss that smiling face.. you don't know the impact you had on everyone's lives...We will all love and miss you so much...I will touch base with Julie and make sure she has someone to talk to. Until we see each other again tell everyone Hello and that I love and miss them. Fly high Handsome and enjoy those hunting grounds up there...Rest in Peace Joe...

So sorry to hear of Joe’s death. He had a great sense of humor and could brighten the day with his laugh. Heartfelt condolences to his family.
