Kenneth M. “Kenny” Shelander

Kenneth  M. “Kenny” Shelander, 49, of Loop Road passed away Thursday January 18, at Buffalo General Hospital following a short illness.

Born Dec. 20, 1974 in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of Kenneth J. and Florence N. Hoke Shelander. Kenny was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School.

In addition, Kenny had attended St. Raphael's Church in Eldred and was a member of the Eldred Township Firehall. He also enjoyed working on his tractors, playing video games, shopping, driving around listening to music, and hanging out with his good friend, Chris Woods. 

Surviving are his nieces, Chelsea (Kyle Mitchell) Shelander of Enfield, CT and Alyssa (Damen Palmer) Shelander of Eldred, PA; his aunts and uncles Harold (Susan) Hoke of Troy, MI, Susan (Richard) Collins of Rixford, PA, Paulette (Roger) Orlandi of Sayre, PA, Karen (Kevin) Wible of Erie, PA and many cousins. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Kathleen Shelander, both on Nov. 20, 2021. 

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Raphael's Church in Eldred with the Rev. Thomas E. Brown as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Raphael's Cemetery, Eldred.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shelander Memorial Scholarship at the Otto-Eldred Education Foundation PO Box 27 Eldred, PA.
