Jamestown, N. Y.      Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister
Hazel E. Ewings, 92, formerly of Duke Center, Pa. passed away on Friday, Dec.21, 2018 at the WCA Hospital following a brief illness.
Born on February 27, 1926 she was a daughter of George and Ada Fish Wilcox.  On December 24, 1946 in Duke Center she married Robert L. Ewings, who passed away on May 7, 1996.  She was a 1944 graduate of Bradford High School and was a lifetime resident of Duke Center.
Hazel was a member and past Sunday school teacher and past choir member of the Duke Center United Methodist Church, she loved vegetable gardening and dancing with her husband and over the years they had belonged to several Square Dance Clubs.  But mostly Hazel loved her family and spending time with them.
Surviving are a son, Arthur (Sue) Ewings of Duke Center and a daughter, Nancy (Dr. Timothy) O’Brien of Jamestown, five grandchildren, Kristen Ewings, Timothy, Kaitlin, Michael and Anna O’Brien; as well as two twin great-grandchildren, Maria and Evan Ewings; and one surviving sister, Annabelle Sue of Olean, and a Grand-daughter in law, Emily Ewings of Erie.  Hazel was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Bradley Ewings in 1980 and Chad Ewings in 2017, and seven brothers and five sisters.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018 at 11:00 A.M at the Duke Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. Beth Rosler, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow in Duke Center Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Frame Funeral Home and memorials may be made to the Duke Center United Methodist Church.
