Grandon Marshall Frost, loving father, son and brother
ELDRED, Pa. — Grandon Marshall Frost, 57, died unexpectedly Sunday
(July 3, 2016) in Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital.
Born on Oct. 31, 1958, in Olean, he was the son of Eugene and Evelyn
Harbridge Frost.
After earning a GED, he worked various jobs in the area, including
serving in the Army National Guard from 1976 to 1981, when he enlisted
in the U.S. Army.
Following discharge from the Army in 1983, he was involved in an auto
accident that left him disabled. Despite his disability, Marshall lived
a full life, enjoying hunting, fishing, NASCAR, spending time with his
family and supporting the kids’ activities, especially helping with
backyard coaching, refereeing and playing catch. He participated in
wheelchair basketball as well.
He was a dedicated Buffalo Bills fan, classic rock music enthusiast and
collected old vinyl record albums. He cherished the 1915 Fairbanks and
Morris 3HP engine that belonged to his great-grandfather, grandfather
and father.
Surviving are his parents, Eugene and Carol Frost of Port Allegany; a
daughter, Samantha Frost and two grandsons, Ikaika and Kane, all of West
Virginia; three sisters, Kim (Don) Connelly of Eldred, Cindy (Richard)
Lasher of Port Allegany and Jackie (Scott) Keiser of Shinglehouse; two
stepsisters, Tine (Gerry) Reed of Emporium and Laurie (Steve) Nenno of
Roulette; two stepbrothers, Brian Frost of Port Allegany and Bradley
Frost of Eldred; and several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and
grandnephews who adored him.
He was predeceased by his mother, Evvie Bhe; a nephew, Marshall Allen
Lasher; a grandniece, Gracie Ebert; a grandnephew, Landon Marshall
Lockwood; and his grandparents.
Friends may call at the First Church of God, Eldred, on Thursday from 6
to 9 p.m. and Friday (July 8, 2016) from 1 to 3 p.m., at which time a
memorial service will be held with the Rev. Jim Kazimer, pastor,
officiating. Burial will follow in Card Creek Cemetery, Roulette.
