William J. Whitmer
FRANKLINVILLE — William J. “Bill” Whitmer passed away on Friday
(May 15, 2015) after a lengthy illness.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1947, in Salamanca.
Bill was a self- employed truck driver until he retired a few years ago
due to poor health. He had resided in Florida for several years before
returning to Western New York.
Bill is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Scott) Szarejko; a grandson,
Andrew Szarejko; three granddaughters, Heather, Ashley and Kaitlyn
Szarejko, all of Youngstown; two brothers, Michael (Priscilla) Whitmer
of Wichita, Kan., and Joseph Whitmer of Salamanca; four sisters; Janice
Benson of Mansfield, Loretta (John) Runser of Sugar Grove, Pa., Sandra
Hahn of Wellsville and Cynthia Peterson of Falconer. His survivors also
include several nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Wilford and Nellie Whitmer; a
brother, Duane; and a nephew, Patrick Weisner.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
