William G. Rosenswie loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather
Eldred- William G. Rosenswie, 82, of Elm St., passed away Saturday (June 22nd, 2013) at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie following a brief illness.
Born December 11th, 1930 in Eldred he was a son of William and Naomi Welch Rosenswie. On April 26th, 1952 in Allegany, NY he married Norma Jean Bell who survives.
Bill was a 1948 graduate of Eldred High School and later attended St. Bonaventure University. He was a lifetime resident of 41 Elm St, Eldred.
Mr. Rosenswie was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad, which later became the Penn-Central Railroad, which then became Conrail for 43 years retiring in 1988 as an agent clerk.
William was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sartwell and a social member of the Eldred American Legion Post 887. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as spending weekends at Chautauqua Lake fishing.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Laurie and Joe Kahle of Gillette, WY, and their children Derek and Jane Kahle, Justin and Cassidy Kahle, Sarah and Tim Read; Dede and Ned VanEpps of Shippenville, PA, and their son Christopher and Jenn VanEpps; Michael and Patti Rosenswie of Eldred, and their children, Michael and Jenn Rosenswie, Jamie and Luke Mikolajczyk, Jonathan and Ryan Rosenswie; Marty and Sharon Rosenswie of Port Allegany, and their son, Joshua Rosenswie; Beth and Harold Young of Omaha, Nebraska, and their children, Billy Young and Thomas Young; William and Ursula Rosenswie of Port Allegany, and their children Mary Rosenswie and Andrew Rosenswie; Trisha and Stacy Tyler of Eldred, and her children, Steve and Brandi Rosenswie, Scott Coneys, and his children Stacy Tyler III and Sophia Tyler; as well as 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends may call Tuesday (June 25th, 2013) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas E. Brown as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sartwell
A Parish Prayer service will be held at 3:45 Tuesday at the funeral home.
