Susan Williams
PRENTISVALE — Susan M. Williams, 67, of Prentisvale Road, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2017) at the Bradford Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 5, 1950 in Bradford, she was a daughter of Howard and Gladys Grimes Freer. On June 29, 1973 she married William “Billy” Williams, who survives.
Susan was a 1968 graduate of Bradford High School and had spent her life as a homemaker.
Mrs. Williams had been a member of the former Lighthouse Community Free Methodist Church up until the time of its closing; as well as being a member of both the Eldred Township and Eldred Borough fire halls. She was a very good cook and was quite the artist, she also enjoyed writing.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 44 years are two sisters, Muriel (Carl) Strait of Olean, N.Y., and Betty Weed of Bemus Point, N.Y.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda; as well as five siblings, Margaret, Leman, Becky, Leon and Gloriajean.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday at the Duke Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. Beth Rosler, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
