Eldred- Steffie A. Eaton, 96, passed away Saturday (June 7th, 2014) at the Bradford Ecumenical Home following a brief illness.
Born August 9th, 1917 in Olean she was a daughter of Andrew and Mary Humyn.  On February 27th, 1943 in Portville she married Frederick F. Eaton, who passed away on September 14th, 1999.
She worked at the Downey Flake Restaurant in Olean, Thatcher Glass Plant in Olean and Weston’s Shoppers City.
She was a member of the St. Raphael’s Parish and St. Raphael’s Altar Rosary Society.
She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by a daughter, Marlene Eaton of Eldred.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Julia Egnaczak, Katy Pisconski and Anne Driscoll; and a brother, Michael Humyn.  Friends May Call from 4 to 8 pm Monday at the Frame funeral Home in Eldred.  A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 11 am at St. Raphael’s Church in Eldred with the Rev. Vince Cieslewicz as celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Raphael’s Cemetery, Eldred.
The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm Monday at the funeral home.
