Neva was the last surviving member of her family.
On Jan. 7, 1944, in Buffalo, N.Y., she married Andrew W. Miklos, who
passed away on Sept. 18, 2009. In 1946, they located in Eldred, where
she converted to Catholicism and became a devoted member of the St.
Raphael’s Church, where she was a longtime member of the Altar Rosary
Society.
In the 1950’s, she had been employed by the Viko Furniture Co. in
Eldred, but retired as an employee of the Corning Glass Works in
Bradford after 27 years as a quality control inspector and a proud
member of the American Flint Glass Workers Union.
Neva loved reading, especially Danielle Steel novels and history books,
and enjoyed Big Band-era music.
Surviving are a son, Andrew Miklos Jr. of Elizabeth; and a daughter,
Joy (Charles) Ammerman of Smethport; three grandchildren, Shelley
Ammerman of Kalamazoo, Mich., Shannon (Mark Edgreen) Ammerman of
Perrysburg and Justin (Cheryl) Miklos of Elizabeth; and three
