Obituary
ELDRED — Mary E. Frost, 69, of Edson Street, passed away on Saturday (Sept. 10, 2022) at home surrounded by her family.
Born on Dec. 28, 1952 she was the daughter of George D. and Mary Ellen Saxton Button. On Jan. 29, 1985, she married Frank L. Frost, who preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2006.
Mary spent her career as a homemaker, and a member of the Jehovah Witness Church. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and family were what she enjoyed the most.
Surviving is one daughter; Anna Frost of Duke Center; two brothers, George Button Jr. of Emporium, and Landis (Melonie) Button of Smethport; two sisters; Nancy (Neil) Freer of Turtlepoint, and Roseltha (Charlie) Becker of Port Allegany; three grandchildren, Jeremy Prescott Jr., Jenna Prescott and Levi Prescott.
Preceding her in death are her parents George and Mary Button; one son, Darvin Button on August 9, 2020; two sisters, Yvonne Butler and Harriet Button. She was also predeceased by her long-time companion Bruce Sevrey in 2018.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Lamphier Cemetery.
