Marguerite M. Lasher

Eldred- Marguerite M. Lasher, 86, of First Street went to be with her lord on Wednesday (February 22, 2023) surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on October 16, 1936 in Coryville, she was the daughter of Joseph and Doris Dunn Connolly.  On August 27, 1955 at the Smethport Episcopal Church she married her husband Charles A. “Bud” Lasher who preceded her in death on October 11, 2015. 

Marguerite was a longtime resident of Eldred and a 1955 graduate of Otto Eldred High School.  She was a life member of the First Church of God, Eldred.  Also, she loved reading, crocheting, watching NCIS and Dr. Pol, and she loved when she would go camping with her late husband and family.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, and especially her grand-daughter. 

Surviving are four daughters; Barbara Callahan of Eldred, Suzanne (David) Louk of Eldred, Crystal (Luke) Hathaway of Dayton, TN., Debbie (Rich) Minner of Eldred;  six grandchildren, Trevor, Heather, William, Zachary,  Mick, Kris, Erin and Matt;  and Nine great-grandchildren, Blake, Braden, Kevin, Lucy, Soyer, Maisey, C.J. and Joey. 

In addition to her husband of  sixty years, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Joseph Lasher; and three siblings, Audean, Joe, and Tom Connolly. 

Friends may call on Monday (February 27th, 2023) at the First Church of God, Eldred from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at which time a celebration of life will be held with the Rev. Jim Kazimer, pastor of the church, officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. 

Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Church of God, Eldred or to the McKean County VNA and Hospice.
