Lillian H. Blauser, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
sister and friend
RIXFORD, Pa. — Lillian H. Blauser, 99, formerly of Rixford, passed
away Wednesday (Aug. 31, 2016) in Sena Kean Manor.
Born June 25, 1917, in Lewis Run, she was a daughter of George and Mary
Elizabeth DePrater Bomaster. On Oct. 3, 1940, in Bradford, she married
Ormel D. Blauser, who passed away on Sept. 1, 1999.
Lillian was a 1935 graduate of Bradford High School and later graduated
from the Bradford Hospital Licensed Practical Nursing School in 1956.
She had resided in Rixford since 1946 and had been employed for 20 years
at the Bradford Hospital, later working in private duty nursing in the
area. She had enjoyed reading and swimming. Ormel had built her an
indoor swimming pool that they used for years.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Bradford.
Surviving are a daughter, Roseanne (Donald) Simon of Rixford; six
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Regina
Blauser of Boise, Idaho; a sister, Mary Catherine Matre; and several
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons,
Harris R. Blauser on Feb. 23, 1972, and David L. Blauser on June 25,
2009; a brother, George Bomaster; two sisters, Wilda Janish and Betty
Newbill; and a great-grandson, Mikell Wright.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Frame Funeral Home,
Eldred. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on
Saturday (Sept. 3, 2016) at the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Bradford
with Father Steve Collins, pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in
McKean Memorial Park in Lafayette.
In lieu of flowers, family request that memorials be made to the
charity of the donor’s choice.
