ELDRED — Kristin Breanne Peterson, 30, passed away unexpectedly following her long struggle on Friday (Dec. 24, 2021).

Born on Oct. 25, 1991, in Coudersport, she was the daughter of Jody Peterson and Carolyn Causer App.

Kristin was a 2010 graduate of Agora Charter School and obtained her associates degree in accounting from Jamestown Community College.

She was previously employed in Port Allegany at the former Dr. Shaffer’s Chiropractic Office as a receptionist and at JVB Bank as a teller and notary.

Kristin was an avid reader, enjoyed drawing and was very artistic. One thing she enjoyed most was playing Guitar Hero with her dad.

Surviving are her son, Karson Daniel Peterson of Eldred, her parents Jody (Johanna) Peterson of Eldred, and Carolyn (Jerry) App of Eldred; a maternal grandmother, Roxanne Penick of Port Allegany, maternal grandfather Michael Causer of Hazel Hurst, maternal stepgrandmother Brigette Mason of Bradford, paternal stepgrandmother Mary Peterson of Newark, Del., paternal stepgrandmother Wilhelmina Bijleveld of the Netherlands; a half brother Christopher Wright of Smethport, a half sister Michelle (Joshua) White of Fort Hood, Texas, a stepbrother Randy Guerts of the Netherlands and four stepsisters Nicole (Zach) Garthwaite of Eldred, Jerri Ann (Greg) Boardman of Germany, Chelse (Shawn) Dunkle of Pittsburgh and Zoe (Wilco Van den Berg) Guerts of the Netherlands; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal stepgrandfather Gary Penick in 2004, paternal grandmother Patricia Peterson in 1993, paternal grandfather Daniel Peterson in 2015 as well as a cousin Travis Smithmyer in 2021.
