John J. Lally       loving father, grandfather and great grandfather
Ceres, Pa- John J. Lally, 76, of Champlin Hollow Rd, passed away Saturday (September 7th, 2013) at the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born January 13th, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pa he was a son of Francis W. and Virginia F. Austin Lally Sr.  On October 27th, 1984 in the Sacred Heart Church in Portville he married Patricia A. Hamilton, who passed away on November 4th, 2012.
Mr. Lally had attended Philadelphia Schools.  He had resided at Champlin Hollow for many years.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean Conflict.  He was employed at several jobs in Philadelphia before moving to Ceres Township.  Later he was employed locally at Acme Electric in Allegany, the Current Control in Wellsville, and had retired from Cutco Cutlery in Olean in 2002.
He was a member of the AARP.  
John loved spending time with his grandchildren and his wife before she passed away in November.  He loved being outdoors and spending time with his model electric trains.
Surviving is one son, John J. (Mary) Snyder of Bolivar; 2 daughters, Patty N. (Robert) Sander of Allegany and Joyce A. Myers of Concord, NY; 9 grandchildren and one great grand son; two brothers, William (Donna) Lally of Coatesville, Pa and Francis Lally Jr. of Ceres; and one sister, Patricia (Michael) Slack of Hatfield, Pa.
Friends may call Monday (September 9th) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 am with the Rev. Gary Sheesley officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Ceres.
