Smethport- James E. “Jimmy” Johnson, 47, of Rt.  46, passed away Thursday (October 29th, 2015) at the Hamot Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born November 3rd, 1967 in Olean, he was a son of George and Verna Stimpson Johnson.  On September 15th, 2001 in the Wesleyan Church in Bradford, he married Kerrie Sheldon, who survives.
Jimmy was a 1985 graduate of Otto- Eldred High School.  He was raised and had lived in Eldred for many years prior to moving to Smethport in 2005.
Earlier in life Mr. Johnson was employed by the Bradford Regional Medical Center in the maintenance department.  Later he worked as an HVAC technician for M.J. Mechanical and for the last 10 years he was employed by Mazza Bros. of Olean as an HVAC technician.
Jimmy loved working on his house, hunting, and fishing.  He loved his dogs and spending time with his children.  He often spent his free time helping local businesses with their HVAC needs.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 14 years are two sons, Zachary James Johnson and Eric Wayne Johnson, both at home; two brothers, Jeffrey Johnson of Eldred and David (Victoria) Johnson of Coudersport; a sister-in-law, Janice Johnson of Duke Center; 4 nephews, Alan (Jenn) Johnson, Corey (Kasey McHale) Johnson, Shawn (Katie) Johnson and Kevin Johnson; a niece, Kimberly Johnson; as well as 3 great nieces, Maci, McKenna and Lainey.
He was preceded in death by a brother in law, Alan Sheldon Jr. in 2006.
Friends may call the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred on Sunday (November 1st, 2015)   from  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 12 to 1 pm, at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Jim Kazimer officiating.  Burial will follow in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
Memorial contributions may be made to CORE, Autism Speaks, or the St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
