Jacquelyn Lee “Jackie” Ours, loving wife, mother, grandmother,
daughter and dear friend

Eldred, Pa. — Jacquelyn L. “Jackie” Ours, 60, of W. Eldred Road,
passed away Saturday (Aug. 24, 2013) at home surrounded by her family,
following a long battle with cancer.
Born July 18, 1953, in Olean, she was a daughter of Robert and JoAnn
Mesler Haynes. On Oct. 3, 1970, in the Eldred United Methodist Church,
she married Randy Ours Sr., who survives.
Jackie was a 1970 graduate of Otto Eldred High School. She had resided
at West Eldred road for 38 years.
Mrs. Ours was employed by the Eldred Market Basket for several years as
well as Bob and Jo’s Diner for many years. She was also employed as a
bus driver for Todd’s for 17 years. She was later employed as a clerk
at the Paper Factory in Olean and as a cook at the Olean General
Hospital Snack Bar.
She was a member of the First Church of God in Eldred, the Women’s
Christian Group, VBS, Cub Scout Den 512 leader and also a Girl Scout
leader. She was a past president of the Eldred Township PTA and an Otto
Eldred High School Cheerleading coach.
As a cancer survivor she was an active participant in the Relay for
Life events. She had also been a speaker for the Cancer Support Group.
Jackie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working in her
flower beds, playing with her dog Amos, scrapbooking, cross-stich,
painting and crafting.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her parents, Robert and JoAnn
Haynes of Eldred; a son, Randy (Janine) Ours Jr. of Eldred; a daughter,
Jacie (Gene) Glover of Olean; two grandsons, Jacob Ours and Mavrick
Glover; a granddaughter, Makenzy Glover; four stepgrandchildren,
Caitlin, Abbie, Nicholas and Alexis Alger; and a sister, Marilyn (Tom)
Hilliard of Pillager, Minn.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Madilyn Foley.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Frame
Funeral Home in Eldred. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Tuesday (Aug. 27, 2013) at the First Church of God in Eldred with the
the Rev. Jim Kazimer officiating. Burial will be in Lamphier Cemetery,
Eldred.
