Jack Harry Stickle
DUKE CENTER, Pa. — Jack Harry Stickle, 78, of Main Street, passed
away Saturday (Feb. 14, 2015) at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born March 16, 1934, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of the late Paul and
Deana Mascho Stickle. In 1962, Hagerstown, Md., he married Frances A.
Taylor, who passed away on March 11, 2011.
Jack attended Otto High School in Duke Center. He had worked in the
local oil fields for many years and later was employed for 15 years by
Hutch’s Enterprises asbestos removal of Lewis Run, from where he
retired.
He was a member of Duke Center United Methodist Church. He was a member
and past president of the Otto Township Lions Club, and a member of the
Otto-Eldred Sports Boosters and the Little Nippers. He also had
delivered Meals on Wheels. He was often seen making funnel cakes at the
local football games at the Lions Club Concession Stand.
Surviving are three sons, Mike (Hope) Stickle of York, Mitch (Laura)
Stickle of Eldred and Scott (Jamie) Stickle of Duke Center; a daughter,
Debbie (Harry) Smith of Beaufort, S.C.; 11 grandchildren, Brittany,
Nicholas, Jake, Tabi, Caitlin, Anna, Caleb, Eli, Keegan, Molly and
Chloe; and two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Connor.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Bruce
Hector; and two sisters.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Duke Center
United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Wednesday (Feb. 18, 2015), with the Rev. Gary Sheesley officiating.
Burial will follow in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
