Greg H. English
DERRICK CITY, PA — Greg H. English, 61, of Olean Rd., passed away on Monday (June 7th, 2021) at the Bradford Regional Medical Center following an apparent heart attack.
Born December 12th, 1959 in Bradford, he was a son of Lawrence E. and Bella Jean Brocious English.
Mr. English was a 1967 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and a 1978 graduate of the DuBois School of Trade where he received a certificate in Masonry. He was a lifelong resident of Otto Township.
Greg had been employed by Kendall Refining, which then became Witco and finally the American Refining Group in Bradford for over forty years and was set to retire in January. When not at ARG he could always be found working on either masonry or fireworks.
He was a lifetime member of the Old Home Days Committee where he was instrumental in preparing and conducting the fireworks display. He also enjoyed spending time at his cottage on Pigeon Lake in the Kawartha Lakes Region of Ontario, Canada.
Surviving are his mother, “Bella” Jean English of Duke Center; one son, Carl (Kristen) English of Derrick City; a daughter, Valerie (Brian Duffy) English of New Springfield, Ohio; two granddaughters, Taylor English and Brooke English; and one sister, Becky (Steve McMahon) English of Denver, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Lawrence E. “Larry” English in 2000.
Friends may call on Saturday at the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Rick Price officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Otto Township Volunteer Fire Department or Otto Township Old Home Days Committee.
