Georgia E. “Sue” Frost

ALLEGANY, N.Y. — Georgia E. “Sue” Frost, 74, of Four Mile Road, passed away on Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2023) at Olean General Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born on Dec. 24, 1948, she was the daughter of Martha Nace, and was raised by her grandparents Raymond and Ruth Yose. On Sept. 16, 1965, in Eldred, she married Leon L. Frost who preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 2019.

Sue attended Otto-Eldred schools and was a lifelong resident of the Eldred area. She was formerly employed by Sena Kean Manor and also worked as a nurse aid in private residences in her younger years.  

She enjoyed painting ceramics, puzzles, Yahtzee, flower gardening, sewing and making outfits for Old Home Days. Sue especially enjoyed caring and spending time with her many grandchildren.

Surviving is one son, Jeffrey (Kelly Caster) Frost of Olean; five daughters, Robin (Eric Bartholomew) Frost of Ishua, Ruthetta (Rex) Miller of Hinsdale, Rebecca Hathaway of Allegany, Renee (Matthew) Johnston of Eldred, and Anna Frost of Duke Center; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, George Nace; two grandchildren, Marcus A. and Matthew D. Bartholomew, and one great-great-grandchild, Matthew A. Chapman.

Friends will be received on Saturday (Aug. 5, 2023) at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a Memorial Service immediately following, with Pastor Jim Cannistraci officiating. Burial will be in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
