Esta Marie Leffler, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and
sister
ELDRED, Pa. — Esta Marie Leffler, 78, of the Jenny- L Manor, passed
away Thursday (Sept.r 4, 2014) at the Bradford Regional Medical Center,
following a long illness.
Born Aug. 15, 1936, in Cameron, W. Va., she was a daughter of Harry
Montford and Esta Pauline Stewart Bane. On July 23, 1960, in Cameron,
she married William L. “Spivy” Leffler, who passed away on April 13,
1993.
Marie was a 1954 graduate of Cameron High School. She had resided in
Eldred since 1961.
Mrs. Leffler was employed by High Q and the Olean Tile Plant, before
working for Corning Glass Works for over 20 years and retiring in 1990.
Marie was a charter member of the Country Chapel Baptist Church in
Eldred and a past member of bowling leagues in Eldred, Smethport and
Bradford. She enjoyed macramé, games and card games. She was a devoted
mother and grandmother and enjoyed family and church activities. She
also enjoyed being a caregiver to her needier friends. She enjoyed her
fellowship with her wonderful friends at the Jenny- L Manor.
Surviving are a son, William L. Leffler III of Corydon Township; five
daughters, Janie (Tom) Isadore of Smethport, Tammy (Pastor Bruce)
Ireland of Eldred, Ella (Tim) Hahn of Smethport, Donna (Tom) Hartzell of
Duke Center and Rhoda (Bob) Colebert of Eldred; 21 grandchildren; 17
great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Nami) Bane of Eldred; and a
sister- in- law and friend, Kay Bane of Eldred.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Dick
Bane in 2006.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Frame Funeral Home in
Eldred. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 6th,
2014) at the Country Chapel Baptist
Church, on Indian Creek Road in Eldred, with the Pastor Bruce Ireland,
son- in- law, and Pastor Sean Ireland, grandson, co- officiating. Burial
will follow in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Country Chapel Baptist
Church.
