Ceres, NY- Ernest W. “Ernie” Taylor Sr., 80 formerly of Barbertown Road, Ceres, passed away Wednesday (January 06, 2021) in Sena Kean Manor.
Born on January 25, 1940, he was the son of Charles and Rose DeRemer Taylor. He attended Shinglehouse Area Schools.
Ernie formerly owned and operated Keystone Service Station in Eldred for many years. He always enjoyed his work, as well as cutting wood and snowmobiling.
Surviving are two sons Ernest W. “Butch” Taylor and Fred Taylor both of Eldred; two daughters; Rose (Jim) Huntoon of Bradford, and Jessica (Tim) Shields of Portville, NY; a brother Jim Taylor of Ceres; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Charlie and Norm; and two sisters Betty and Joyce.
Friends may call on Sunday (January 10, 2021) at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday (January 11, 2021) at 11:00 am at the Frame Funeral home and burial will be in the Lamphier Cemetery.
