Edward F. “Hector” Wheeler

Eldred- Edward F. “Hector” Wheeler Jr, 65 of Elm Street passed away on Tuesday (November 09, 2021) at Olean General Hospital.  

Born on November 25, 1955 in Plum Borough he was the son of Edward and Josephine Hafer Wheeler Sr.   On December 24, 1987 in Plum Borough he married his wife of 34 years Mary Racioppo who survives.  

Hector was a 1973 graduate of Plum Boro and was raised there prior to moving to the Eldred Area in 1989. He was formerly employed by Pagane Auto Body in Plum, a truck driver for Johnny Chearl in Plum, IA Construction for 19 years and previously employed by Taylor and Armstrong.  Mr. Wheeler enjoyed tinkering in the garage and working on his vehicles.  

Surviving including his wife is one son; E. Russell Wheeler of Eldred, one daughter; Katherine Wheeler of Bradford, one brother Paul (Maureen) Wheeler of Plum, and one sister Cathy Wheeler of Penn Hills.  

Visitation will be held on Friday (November 12, 2021) from 5-7pm and Saturday (November 13, 2021) from 11-1pm at which time a funeral service will be held with Father Tom Brown officiating.   

Memorials may be made to the Eldred Free Library.
