DONNES J. BAKER
Wellsboro PA -  Donnes J. Baker, 92, formerly of Rixford, PA, passed away at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, on Jan. 24, 2018.
She was born on Oct. 1, 1925, in Waynesburg, PA, daughter of Raymond and Bertha Wright.
Donnes was wife of Donald F. Baker, who died on May 10, 2015. They were married for 70 years. She was a member of Sawyer Evangelical Church, Bradford, PA, and in recent years attended the United Methodist Church, Wellsboro, PA. She graduated from Otto High School, Duke Center, PA, in 1944.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting, sewing, and needlepoint. Family and friends will cherish her handcrafted gifts from over the years.
She was a homemaker and wonderful mother to daughters Ila Felt (Eugene) of Salamanca, NY, and Dr. Donna Mettler (Kenneth) of Middlebury Center, PA. She was a loving grandmother of Angela Ellis (Mark), Geneseo, NY; Steven Felt (Kellie), Hamilton, GA; and Michael Mettler (Deborah), Birdsboro, PA, and great-grandmother of Timothy & Jeffrey Ellis, Alexandra & Dylan Felt, and Tricia & Joshua Engle. She is also survived by two brothers, Gordon Wright (Vera) and Bob Wright of Moundsville, WV, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Sawyer Evangelical Church, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018. Her funeral will follow at 1 p.m. officiated by Rev. Brad Preston.
