Dolores Irwin

Eldred- Dolores Irwin, 92, passed away on Thursday (October 13, 2022) at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. 

Born February 12th, 1930 in Sheffield, Pa  she was a daughter of George and Anna Drabant.   On December 19th, 1953 she married Carl Irwin, who preceded her death on May 30th, 2012.  

Dolores was a 1949 graduate of Eldred High School and a 1960 graduate of New Penn Beauty College.  She owned and operated her own beauty shop out of her home since 1960. 

Mrs. Irwin was a member of St Raphael’s Catholic Church in Eldred as well as their Altar Rosary Society. 

Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Irwin Milne of Eldred; two grandchildren, Christie Lent and Eric (Tosha) Schoolmaster of Eldred;  two great-grandchildren, Rowan and Ivan Schoolmaster;  a sister, Dorothy Emerson of Rochester, and one brother, James (Alice) Drabant of Locust Grove, Virginia; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special nephew, Tom Emerson of Rochester. 

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Monica Irwin Yonker on April 19th, 2008;  a son in law, Norm Milne on April 29th, 2019; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lent. 

 Friends may call on Sunday (October 16th, 2022) at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and again on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 am, at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Thomas E. Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in St Elizabeth’s Cemetery in Smethport. 

The Rosary will be recited by the St. Raphael’s Altar Rosary Society at the funeral home at 4:00 pm  on Sunday.
