David Ducey
ELDRED — David L. Ducey, 75, passed away on Tuesday (Aug. 4, 2015) at the Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.  
Born Sept. 9, 1939, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of John and Margaret Langworthy Ducey. On May 9, 1970, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Olean, he married Linda A. App, who survives.
He was a 1957 graduate of Olean High School and had resided on the Loop Road for the past 42 years. David had served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He had been employed as advertising manager for Montgomery Ward and later for Sears in Olean. For over 30 years he was with Clark Brothers and later Dresser Rand in Olean retiring in 2008 as an inspector.
David enjoyed carpentry and had built their home on the Loop Road along with the cabinets and furniture for it. He was an amateur photographer and had worked mostly in black and white, specializing in nature pictures, he also developed his own film and prints.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 45 years are two daughters, Marsha (husband William Archer) Ducey of Hamlin, N.Y., and Christine (husband Shahram Abbassi) Ducey of Bayside, Calif.; four granddaughters, Mina Abbassi, Aryana Abbassi, Audrey Archer and Arman Abbassi; and a sister, Margaret “Nicki” (Dick) Baire of Duke Center.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Ducey.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation and a private funeral service will be held at their convenience. Burial will be in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
