Connie S. (Canaan) Goldsmith

Connie S. Goldsmith    beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister
Eldred- Connie S. Goldsmith, 67, formerly of Eldred, passed away Friday (February 14, 2014) at the Lakeview Nursing Home in Smethport.
Born April 4th, 1946 in Bradford, she was a daughter of Everal and Winifred Fitzsimmons Canaan.  On July 25th, 1969 in Bradford, she married David M. Goldsmith, who passed away on May 15th, 2001.
Connie was a 1964 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and had been a lifetime resident of the Eldred area.
Mrs. Goldsmith was employed by the Sylvania Corporation in Warren for several years.  She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
In addition to her mother of Eldred, she is survived by a son, Mathew (Brenda) Goldsmith of Allegany; 2 grandchildren, Nathaniel and Makenzie Goldsmith; 2 sisters, Rev. Linda (Rev. John) Allen of Orlando, Florida, Patricia (Ozzie) Schwab of Duke Center; 4 brothers, Raymond (Gloria) Canaan of Winder, Georgia, William Canaan of Eldred, Thomas (Deborah) Canaan of Eldred, and Sidney (Kay) Canaan of Pittsburgh, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and father she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Goldsmith in 1975.
Friends may call Sunday (February 16th, 2014) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am with the Rev. Ron Emery officiating.  Burial will follow in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
