Betty E. Bishop      Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
Duke Center- Betty E. Bishop, 94, formerly of Duke Center, passed away Wednesday (December 18th, 2013) at the Sena Kean Manor.
She was born on June 26th, 1919 in Oil City, Pa, the daughter of Harry H. and Ruth A. Blum Blauser.  On June 21st, 1941 she married C. Fred Bishop, at the home of her parents in Duke Center
She moved to the Duke Center area as a child and attended Otto Township Schools.  She was the valedictorian of the first graduating class of Otto High School in 1937.  After high school she worked at Grow and Carter Grocery Store in Duke Center until her marriage.  After marriage she spent her life as a housewife and homemaker.  She was a member of the Duke Center Evangelical United Brethren Church and later the Duke Center United Methodist Church, where she was involved in many church activities.
She is survived by 2 sons, Daniel L. (Dolores) Bishop and Joel J. Bishop, both of Duke Center; 3 grandchildren, Eric (Rachael) Bishop of Harrisville, Pa, Tammy Stoddard of Duke Center and Kristy (Jay) Pearson of Itasca, Texas.  She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on October 21st, 1966.
Friends may call Saturday at the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred from 11 am to 1 pm, at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Gary Sheesley officiating.  Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette, Pa.
The family would like to invite all those attending the funeral to a luncheon at the Duke Center United Methodist Church Immediately following the funeral.
