Anna R. Vershay
Anna R. Vershay, 89, formerly of Coryville and Smethport, passed away Monday (October 28th, 2013) at the Bradford Nursing Pavilion following a brief illness.
Born December 9th, 1923 in Poland, NY she was a daughter of Robert and Elsa Paul Haggerty.
Anna spent her life as a homemaker and had resided in Eldred, Coryville and Smethport.
Mrs. Vershay was a member of the Derrick City (Pa) Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading and baking.
Surviving are 3 sons, William (Jannie) Vershay of Valley Springs, CA, Dan Vershay of Gainesville, FL and Joe Vershay of Jamestown, CA; 1 daughter, Elizabeth (Joseph) Warner of Erie; as well as 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Friday (November 1st, 2013) at the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred from 11 am to 1 pm, at which time funeral services will be held with Tim Bange, Elder of the Derrick City Seventh-Day Adventist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Raphael’s Cemetery, Eldred.
