Alan K. Bowers

DUKE CENTER — Alan K. Bowers passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, (September 30, 2022) with his wife by his side. He had fought a battle with Cancer for almost one year.

Born Feb. 22, 1970 in Erie, Pa. he was the son of Jerry and Carol Bowers. On Sept. 3, 2019 at Kinzua Bridge he married Janice Johnson, who survives.

Earlier in life, he was self-employed as a drywall installer, he then worked in maintenance at Bradford Ecumenical Home. Alan loved life. He was an avid race fan and loved watching his nephew Casey race. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all loved spending time with his family.

Alan is survived by his wife, Janice; his mother, Carol; two sons, Adam and Austin Bowers; three stepsons, Alan, Corey and Shawn Johnson; one brother, John (Cindy) Bowers; two sisters, Ashley (Loren) Jenkins and Sherri (Roger) Scalise; brother-in-law, Joe and Sharon Schwab; six step grandchildren, Maci, Lainey, McKenna, Myah, Addy and Saxton Johnson; one sister-in-law, Melanie Bowers; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Jerry and his brother Jody.

There will be no funeral services according to Alan's wishes, however there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date in Duke Center and also in Girard, Pa.  

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
