Carolyn Kimble   Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother
COLEVILLE — Carolyn “Sue” Kimble, 70, of Route 46, passed away Monday (Sept. 7, 2015) at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Born April 4, 1945, in Bradford, she was a daughter of Floyd and Lettie Budnski Smith. On Feb. 19, 1966, in Rew, she married Emmit P. Kimble, who passed away on June 10, 1997.
Mrs. Kimble was a 1963 graduate of Smethport High School. She had resided in Knapp Creek, N.Y., for 11 years prior to moving to Coleville in 1977. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and also was a practicing beautician who worked out of her home.
Carolyn was an avid baker who participated in many local bake sales. She was also an avid bird watcher and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Steven Kimble of Coleville, with whom she resided and who cared for her, and Carl (Jen) Kimble of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; three daughters, Kathy (Amon Brock) Gallagher of Coleville, Brenda (Dana) Gordon of Eldred, and Stephanie George of Portville, N.Y.; a stepson, David Kimble of Smethport; and a stepdaughter, Corinne (Tracy) VanVolkenburg of Sherman, N.Y.; as well as 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Smith.
Friends may call at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred, from 4 to 7 p.m. today, and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Wally Mapes officiating. Burial will follow in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
