Gary L. Bacha Sr.               Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather
Rixford- Gary L. Bacha Sr., 72, of Rixford, passed away Monday (May 7th, 2012) at the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born February 1st, 1940 in Bradford he was a son of George and Mary Dibble Bacha. On October 28th, 1961 in Duke Center he married Patricia J. Haus who passed away January 24th, 1990.  On September 11th, 1992 in Duke Center he married Virginia G. Schenfield, who survives.
Gary was a 1957 graduate of Otto High School and later graduated from Williamsport Technical Institute.  He was a lifetime resident of Rixford.
He had served with the U.S. Military in the Air Force.  Along with his wife Patricia, he owned and operated the Maple Inn in Rixford for 20 years.  He was later employed as a janitor at Eldred Indian Creek School for several years; later from 1980 until his retirement in 2001 he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Bradford as a clerk.
Gary was a member of the DAV of McKean County.  He was a charter member and instrumental in the creation of the Little Nippers Youth Organization.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post 976 in Crosby, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bradford, and a past member of the Bradford Moose Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Otto TWP. Fire Department.  He was member and past president of AFL CIO APWU of Bradford.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Sean Bacha of Crosby and Gary Lee Bacha Jr. of Bradford; one stepson, Robert (Tammy) Francis of Davis Junction, Ill.; one daughter, Mary E. Bacha of Bradford; two stepdaughters, Kara McLiroy of Ridgeway and Michelle Lange of Indianapolis, Indiana; fourteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; one sister, Marcia (George) Gartley of Presque Isle, Maine; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Bacha and Mark Bacha.
Friends may call Thursday (May 10th) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred were funeral and committal services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rick Price, officiating.  Burial will be in Clermont Cemetery, Clermont, PA.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Otto Twp. Ambulance or Fire Department, or the McKean County DAV.
