Charles Lasher
Eldred-  Charles Anthony “Bud” Lasher, 78, of First St., went to be with the Lord Sunday (October 11th, 2015) at the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born December 12th, 1936 in Ormsby, he was a son of Charles Arthur and Virginia Balon Lasher.  On August 27th, 1955 in the Smethport Episcopal Church, he married Marguerite Connolly, who survives.
Bud was a 1954 graduate of Smethport High School.  He had been a longtime resident of Eldred.
Mr. Lasher was employed as a machinist at Clark Brothers, which later became Dresser Rand, where he retired from as a Source Inspector.
Mr. Lasher was a lifetime member of the First Church of God in Eldred, where he was also Rev. Kazimer’s Lay minister.  He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting, fishing and camping.  He also enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Barbara Ann Callahan of Eldred, Suzanne Virginia (David) Louk of Eldred’ Crystal Marie (Luke) Hathaway of Dayton, Tennessee and Debbie Lynn (Rich) Minner of Bradford; 8 grandchildren, Trevor, Heather, William, Zach, Mick, Kris, Erin and Matt; 5 great grandchildren, Blake, Braden, Kevin, Lucy and Soyer; three brothers, Fred (Diane) Lasher of Jacksonville, Florida, Edward Michael Lasher of Port Allegany and Richard (Cindy) Lasher of Port Allegany; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Joseph Lasher in 2014; and a brother, John Lasher in 2001.
Friends may call Thursday at the First Church of God, Eldred, from noon to 3 pm, at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Jim Kazimer officiating.  
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God, Eldred; or to Rose Hill Cemetery in Smethport.
